If you are born with some melanin, I have some bad news, even before your first step they had already chosen you to lose. So black child, let me tell you this, they “freed” us from the fields without a thing to even land on so they can lock us up while we look for a foot to even stand on. And when we stayed upstanding – they freed us so we can be enslaved into poverty.

And if you are white, and you think you are not racist, don’t expect me to applaud your basic decency instead look at the legacy left by those before you. I don’t blame you that you were favoured by the actions of your forefathers but I will hold you accountable for not using the power you (might not even know you) have to uplift those whose backs your privilege was built on. No longer should you be loud in our laughter but silent in our suffering!

And let me make it clear, racism is different from prejudice. Racism is about power. So although black people can have prejudice, they cannot be racist. Because the system has ensured that there isn’t enough black people with power to negatively affect the longstanding livelihood of a white person because of the fact that they are white.

BLACK PERSON – Let me tell you this, when you bundle up your hand, there is power in that fist. The fist stands for unity, the fist means resist. The fist means we hold on to what’s ours. The fist defines true black power ✊🏿
