Perspective

I believe one of the largest causes of failure in life is people’s inability to see how well they are doing. People are quick to notice the first steps they take but the appreciation for progress quickly goes out the window.

If we were to look at this from a literal point of view of motion. The fastest man in the world has a top speed of approximately 45 kph (27 miles per hour), an astounding feat. If we were to occupy his body, we wouldn’t take a moment to realise the physical exertion to achieve that speed is absolutely incredible and deservedly receives plaudits. However, at peak altitude, the average speed of an airbus A380 is around 1000kph 🤯🤯 BUT the trick is when you’re in it, you almost feel stationary.

This analogy is directly applicable to many people’s lives. With a certain elevation, people tend to feel stagnant and end up returning back to a lower level so they can feel the speed again – the classic self sabotage. This is why it is important to keep a really good circle around you. They see the difference in you even when you don’t see it in yourself!

God bless you all lovely people, keep moving 😉
