So I wonder why so many people brood hate

My blood, my girl, my angel. Those are the only ones I do rate

All other relationships sour like they’ve gone past their due date

I didn’t get it on the first take

Made a couple of mistakes

Even had to retake

God came through for Phil’s sake

Now I’m back on the right course

move forward with no remorse

Can’t turn back, even Lot knows

Win some and lose some, that’s just how life goes

But sometimes I wonder if I should take the bait

Should I return the hate

Should I retaliate

But how can you turn on people you once loved and seal their fate?
